OUR FATHER -
Jesus makes it possible for us to know God and to call Him Father!

Knowing God personally gives a joy and reason for living unlike anything the world has to offer.

GOD IS A PERSONAL GOD

'Our Father' describes the relationship we can have with Him through Jesus His Son.
Through accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we can become children of God.

"I am the way, the truth and the light, no one comes to the Father except through Me."
John 14:6

God becomes 'Our Father' 'Your Father' 'My Father'.

WHO IS IN HEAVEN -
Jesus is Alive! The Cross is Empty!

Heaven seems a long way away!
But we can ask Jesus to be Lord of our lives NOW!
Nothing is beyond God's ability to put right.
Your problems are not too difficult for the One
who created the entire Universe!

Your sins not too awful that God cannot forgive.
God the Father has given us His Son Jesus.
His perfect life in exchange for our sinful one.
Jesus took upon Himself our sins at the cross,
our punishment, so that God could treat us sinners as though we were without guilt, and had lived the perfect life of Jesus.
That is the best news for every human being!

"He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him"
2 Corinthians 5:21

"That whoever believes may in Him have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Hime shall not die but have eternal life"
John 3:15-16

HALLOWED BE THY NAME -
Jesus is Holy

What are you doing to experience 'real life'?
Where do you look for lasting satisfaction?

God desires to give us His love, the only love that fully satisfies all our deepest longings and desires.

HOW BIG IS GOD'S LOVE FOR YOU? HOW WIDE? HOW HIGH?

It is our sin that makes us incapable of having a close relationship with God, of being able to call Him Father.
Through repentance and belief in Jesus - His death on the cross for everyone, God forgives our sins, and gives us eternal life with Him.
It is a gift that is free! but it is not automatic, it has to be asked for and received by faith. All man's answers to the problems of evil, violence and pain in the world are insufficient at best. Jesus, He is the only One who provides the answers to man's problems, who gives true and abundant life and much, much more.

THY KINGDOM COME -
Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords

God reigns. He is not limited to time. He is actively involved in the salvation of people. 'May Thy Kingdom Come' expresses a deep desire that God would continue to establish His Kingdom. The Kingdom of Heaven is made up of those who have accepted Jesus' rule over them here on earth and are living His way.

Jesus invites everyone to come and live with Him now and forever.

"Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying 'The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel'."
Mark 1:15

JESUS ASKS US TO OPEN THE DOORS OF OUR HEARTS TO HIM AND INVITE HIM TO COME IN

THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IN HEAVEN -
Jesus is God. He is Sovereign All-Powerful, Supernatural

God is actively involved in the lives of every believer. Jesus asks us to love one another to live His way.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another."
John 13:34

The amazing love and compassion Jesus has for everyone is shown at the cross where He died for our sins.

"Greater love has no man than this, that one lay down his life for his friends."
John 15:13

God shows each believer how, through obeying His commandments, we are to live and stay close to Him.

"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." John 14:15

Jesus asks us to love one another as He has loved us

GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD -
Jesus our Provider

The children of God should look to God for their every need.

Our Father asks His children to depend upon Him for everything. To trust Him, He alone knows what is best for each one of us. He desires to be our provider.

"Therefore I tell you, don not be anxious about your life. Look at the birds of the air.
Your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than them."
Matthew 6:25-26

Jesus wants to look after us
He wants to give us each day
the things we need.

Jesus challenges all of His followers to
"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be yours as well. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow."
Matthew 6:32-33

Jesus wants to bless His children. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we are able to think of, ask or even imagine!

He is our Bread of Life
He is our Living Water
He is our Rock
He is our Saviour

"Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God." Matthew 5:9

AND FORGIVE US OUR SINS AS WE ALSO
FORGIVE THOSE WHO SIN AGAINST US -

Jesus the only One who can forgive us our sins Jesus sets
the supreme example from the cross

"Father forgive them for they know not what they do" Luke 23v34

JESUS THE SON OF GOD STOOPED TO FORGIVE US
DO WE DARE TO BE UNFORGIVING?

Our relationship to each other affects our relationship to God. There is a liberating power in forgiveness. There is a tremendous release when we are able to forgive, even the most appalling wrong.

LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION -

Jesus the One who was tempted yet without sin

Jesus was tempted and tested in the wilderness with three test that Satan used to try to stop Him going to the cross for the salvation of mankind. He overcame temptation and never sinned. We cannot estimate the power of temptation neither can we be sure of our strength, or ability to resist it BUT- by the power of God's Spirit children of God are helped to resist the temptation to do wrong.

"God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also that you may be able to endure it."
I Corinthinans 10:13

Like any good father,
Jesus protects us, and teaches us His ways.
He is gentle with us like a father with his new born child.
Jesus will shield His children
Hold them in His arms
Loving them

JESUS IS COMMITTED TO HIS CHILDREN

BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL -
Jesus the One who triumphed over the forces of evil

Because of the power of evil and sin Jesus shows His disciples how to pray to be delivered from trials too difficult for us to handle.

JESUS IS MORE FAITHFUL - LOVES US MORE
THAN A VERY CLOSE FRIEND

He will never leave us
He wants to help us
in all our difficulties
with all our problems.
He loves us even
when we are unlovable.

"For I am confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will perfect it until the of Christ Jesus" Philippians 1:6

FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM
THE POWER AND THE GLORY
FOR EVER AND EVER
