". . that their hearts may be encouraged,
being knit together in love and attaining to all riches of the full
assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God,
both the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden the treasures of wisdom
and knowledge."
Colossians 2: 2-3
Fruit of the Spirit
This year's theme will be on the 'fruit of the Spirit' from Galatians
chapter 5. Throughout the Bible, the word 'fruit' refers to evidence
of what is within. The 'fruit of the Spirit' has been described as "those
gracious habits which the Holy Spirit produces in the Christian."
It is the life and character of Jesus being manifested in us. However,
this life is not something we can muster up, rather, it is the Spirit
of God working the things of God through us as we yield and submit to
Him. As we study together, our desire is to understand and cultivate
the 'fruit of the Spirit' within our lives, that we may walk more closely
with our Lord and Saviour, and bring glory to His name.
Venue and Dates
Our meetings will be held in Seacourt Hall, down amongst the
Botley shops. The hall is directly opposite the Co-op car park. There
are three car parks around the Botley shops. One next to the Co-op,
one at the front by the main road, and another at the opposite end to
the Co-op.
We meet at 10am for coffee and croissants, with the meeting beginning
at 10.30am and finishing no later than 12pm.
Everybody is welcome and we look forward to seeing you there.
